Fondata nel 2005, con oltre 14 anni di esperienza nella promozione di musica da ogni parte del mondo, Transcending Obscurity Records sta facendo un ottimo lavoro, nel cercare e sostenere nuove interessanti realtà provenienti dal panorama underground metallico. Nel loro nutrito roster c’è del death metal, grind / crust, death metal tecnico, black, sludge, doom e anche band avantgarde.
Come ogni anno l’etichetta propone gratuitamente una compilation gratuita riepilogativa del suo catalogo, un vero e proprio best of delle uscite recentemente prodotte e delle novità ancora da pubblicare, che consta di ben 52 tracce, suddivise per generi, accompagnate dal pregevole artwork realizzato da Turkka Rantanen.
